Sesame
Salmon Barbeque
4, 6 to 8 ounces each (1-inch thick)
salmon steaks
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 8-ounce can tomato cheese sauce
11/2 tablespoons brown sugar
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
Brush salmon steaks with oil and sprinkle
with sesame seeds. Combine all other ingredients
except parsley in a saucepan and simmer gently for
10 minutes. Place steaks on a hot grill, 2 to 3
inches from glowing coals; baste frequently with
sauce. Cook about 15 minutes. Carefully turn steaks
to brown both sides. Add parsley to remaining sauce
and serve with salmon.
